Hank the Cowdog, part 2

We last left Hank and Drover just as they found a dead chicken on the ranch! Its a mystery as to what happened buy Hank is on the case! In the next chapters of the book a few things happen. While going to Waterhole Cafe with Loper, Hank and Drover get into it with a Boxer in another persons truck. After going and getting the dog barking they proceed to go and pee on the other trucks tires! The commotion cause the owner to come out and leave, needless to say Hank and Drover are proud of themselves. After that, there is another tragedy on the ranch, another chicken has died. Hank inspects it and find that he is hungry. He sends Drover away and proceeds to eat the deceased chicken. Sally May sees Hank doing this and thinks that Hank has been killing chickens! Loper puts the Dead chicken head around hanks neck as a punishment, and with that Hank decides that he is under appreciated for his work, he leaves and becomes an outlaw!  this part of the book there were a few section that ...

                                                              Back when I was a 5th grader I absolutely did not like to read. I never could find any books I was interested in, never wanted to read in general. My 5th grade teacher saw this and he suggested that I read Hank the Cowdog. I'd never heard of the book and once I started reading I never looked back. 50 books in the series later I had come to love reading series of books and thanks to my 5th grade teacher I had finally found a book I like! In the start of the book, Hank is the hardworking "head of ranch security" on Loper and Sally Mays ranch. He has a best friend and coworker, Drover, who is not as good as Hank at this job.
